MotorAnalysis-IM
MotorAnalysis-IM is free software for design and analysis of induction motors and generators. MotorAnalysis-IM is based on automated finite element analysis (FEA) simulations and establishes a complete set of tools for design and analysis of induction machines. MotorAnalysis-IM is available as a MALTAB-based application or as a standalone program working without MATLAB.
Creating motor prototypes
- Template-based motor geometry prototyping
- Dimensions of stator and rotor teeth, slots, bars and bar skew angle
- Stator tooth shape can be additionally adjusted to optimize the motor performance

Analysis methods
MotorAnalysis-IM provides results based on finite element analysis solutions and combines several analysis methods having different accuracy and computation speed. You can choose the appropriate analysis method depending on the phase of the design process and speed/accuracy tradeoff.
- Estimation of equivalent circuit parameters based on no-load and load test simulations
- Nonlinear behavior of magnetizing inductance is taken into account
- Calculation of most commonly used motor parameters like voltage, current, power, torque, power factor, efficiency and losses for different operating points as well as efficiency maps
- Variations of lumped parameters of the equivalent circuit at different operating points are taken into account
- High accuracy (close to AC Analysis) and high computational speed at the same time
- Calculation of most commonly used motor parameters like voltage, current, power, torque, power factor, efficiency and losses for different operating points as well as efficiency maps
- Creation of Simulink models of the motor based on equivalent circuit parameters calculated by MotorAnalysis
- Variations of lumped parameters of the equivalent circuit at different operating points can be taken into account
